Willie Nelson returns to Austin City Limits Live to ring in the New Year with two shows, December 30th and 31st.
Willie Nelson, Austin’s hometown musician, returns to ring in the New Year with Ryan Bingham on 12/30 and Delbert McClinton w/ Glen Clark on 12/31. Andy Langer will host the show on the 31st, where there will be an appearance by Father Time Texas and champagne toast by Woodbridge Sparkling at midnight.

Lucky for us music lovers and fans, the Paula Nelson Band opened the show every night at Whitewater Amphitheater March 26,27,28, before Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson performed. What a treat! And on Saturday night, her dad came out and watched her perform, and then joined Paula for a reprise of their duet, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.”

Another beautiful painting by Nate Vandenbos. Beautiful! He has painted hundreds of portraits, on plywood. And he doesn’t use a brush!
“He doesn’t use a brush. He paints with his fingers. Each canvas starts with a coat of black paint and VandenBos uses a white pencil to draw the face. “I’ve freed myself from conventional techniques; I use my fingers and rags – not brushes – to apply paint, and I prefer plywood to canvas. I draw inspiration from the emotions I feel when I’m listening to music.” And, he adds, a picture with half the face in shadow can take him about half the time to complete as a full face image. And since he paints every day, producing about 100 portraits a year, quicker can be better. His love for music keeps him motivated. ”— Interview with Nate VandenBos, with Michalis Limnios

Willie’s Roadhouse celebrating Willie Nelson’s birthday with Paula Nelson and Dallas Wayne
Willie Nelson’s 82nd birthday is either April 29 or 30 (he was born at midnight) so we’ll be celebrating for two days straight, with his daughter Paula Nelson co-hosting with Dallas on Wednesday 4/29 from noon- 6 pm ET from the SiriusXM Willie’s Roadhouse studios on Willie Nelson Blvd. in Austin, TX.
Beginning at 10 pm ET we will be presenting back-to back exclusive concert replays of Willie’s 80th birthday celebration from The Backyard at Bee Cave, TX (featuring special guests Randy Travis and David Allan Coe) and Willie & Family live from the House of Blues Las Vegas this past January to carry us into Thursday morning.
